 Twin tank softening systems control two tanks, meaning that there are two separate tanks of softening resin in addition to the brine (salt or potassium) tank. Twin tank systems soften your water using one tank at a time. When one tank is regenerating, the second tank takes over the softening of your water. This provides the luxury of soft water 24-hours a day, 7 days a week! Twin softeners are great for large families and large homes or families that tend to use a lot of water. You will realize salt (or potassium) and water savings because the system uses 100% capacity of the tank in service, before switching to the second tank. Twin tank systems regenerate with soft water that keeps the system clean for optimum operating efficiency and minimum maintenance.
